Sustainability

Living, working, and providing superior painting services in Colorful Colorado, we know the need for environmentally conscious best practices to protect our grasslands, forests, mountains, lakes, and rivers. Colorado consists of a diverse ecosystem, with an enormous range of fauna and flora. It is a responsibility for all of us to protect and preserve the various environments of our western home.

Dedicated to Providing Sustainable Painting

The team at Distinct Painting Company is dedicated to providing sustainable painting and finishing services that protect our Colorado environment, while still providing durability that will also protect your home year after year. We take pride in stepping up to lead the local painting industry in exceeding EPA standards for sustainability. As painters, due to the nature of our business, we use a great many products that need to be handled and disposed of in a responsible manner. We are committed to that responsibility, which is why we ensure neatness and conscientious workmanship with every project we undertake.

It’s not a hard task, but it takes diligence and determination to ensure that even the smallest details are taken care of. We recycle all items that are accepted as recyclable, from packing materials to old paint and paint cans. For remodeling or renovation projects, we recycle all doors, windows, wood and floor trim, and wooden cabinets. We take all suitable materials to the Habitat for Humanity ReStore.

It is also the nature of our business to use materials that are deemed hazardous—varnishes, polyurethanes, oils, solvents, and paint thinners. We take environmental sustainability very seriously, so we make sure that every product is properly contained, capped, and disposed of or recycled in the proper way, at the Larimer County Hazardous Waste Division or other authorized entity that might be closer to the location of a particular project.
